Lessons I've learned or been reminded of...

Well, I promised I might do this... that is, to write some things I learn through the course of living each week as an entrepreneur. I believe that my venture in network marketing truly has become the most amazing leadership development program for my life! I am constantly amazed at what being in business for myself teaches me! This week alone my reflections by Friday were more abundant that I would have suspected!

Here are some snippets of my reflections:

Be grateful daily for all that I "GET TO DO" rather than seeing anything as what I "HAVE TO DO".

When creating your schedule for the upcoming weeks in business, plan them with the expectation that some will cancel and realize that changes are inevitable. You see, things happen. People get sick, family needs arise, people forget or double book, and so forth. Because of this, set more appointments than your goals require you to have. Then when cancellations and rescheduling happens, you won't be frustrated!

Be persistent. Keep people first and continue to strive to meet their needs. Be willing to wait until it's the right time for them to open the invitation for you to give them the gift you have to offer with your business products or opportunity. They will be grateful you believed in them and continued to put their best future needs as a priority!

Be BOLD! When you have something GREAT to offer, don't feel bad offering it. Others will perceive your passion and belief by how your language conveys it.

My business is FUN! I love when people get to experience what I have to share with them for the very first time, no matter how long it has taken for them to get excited about starting! Don't forget to celebrate when exciting things happen in the business!

Live the Dream, Share the Dream

It's a new day at Shaklee! I'm so excited that I GET TO be a part of it! The theme is all about dreaming. Who doesn't love to dream? Yet, how many have stopped doing it? No time. No hope. No need. That may be what you are thinking right now. In times of economic uncertainty and with life rushing ahead at unprecedented speeds, many have given up on the American Dream, and on their own personal dreams.

I think it's time we changed all that. There is hope. There is a brighter tomorrow on the horizon, and it's available for those who are willing to see it and go after it! Shaklee may be one of the vehicles that will help get you to realizing your own dream. I know it has done that for me and my family. A healthier life. A better life. A life of more freedom and and lifestyle with more fun!
